Why do people care so much for mass data mining or "spying". Who the fuck are you? So special no one can read your emails ?

If you're posting stuff that is so private you can't let anyone person see it then why are you posting it online or broadcasting it via a cellphone regardless of it going to a supposedly secure receiver (your friend or whatever)

It could be the principle of stripping rights away slowly until it's too late and people are just trying to prevent this from happening but I think a mass majority is just for something to do and so they can associate themselves with something. Post shit on their facebook page because they have nothing interesting going on in their life.

I'm pro user but it's irritating that people care so much about this when I don't think it's so important.

You want something to protest;

I'm not an American, nor do I care if anyone reads my emails, but I think that it could be detrimental to the future of America.

Why? Read George Orwell's 1984.

Edit: Forgot to mention that they're also mining info from other countries. Why should I support another country spying on me? I don't give any fucks about who blows up what over there.

For the longest time I was wondering what is the significance of 1984 now I know..thanks!

This is just for an example as to the point of you saying they are spying on other countries which is true.

Their is going to be a meeting with the United Nations to decide what to do with USA's data mining programs. Other countries hate it.

People don't like it because it's behind our backs. They did it without us knowing and now we're like:

  • are they doing more?
  • will this grow?

Also, that SumOfUs thing is really great.

speaking with one voice to counterbalance the growing power of large corporations

^ Are they stupid.

get off of your high horse you pseudo intellectual neckbeard

Of course it's the internet, but that doesn't give a, from his desk sitting American official, the right to read through my private messages and internet activities. That's called privacy.

It's even more sad that they were spying on more then 160 goverments...

The NSA broke several laws in several countries, let the dirty politics games begin...

Don't get me wrong by the way, I don't really care about it either, but that doesn't take away the fact that this is really dirty though.

The idea of spying on Personal  information is beyond me. Is the world trying to change the definition of Personal? This angers me greatly even though I have nothing to hide I do not want to be spied on etc.

i hope they never get my runescape password and hack me. That would be a disaster

I don't like the american attitude versus their allies becouse if you explain in ur own country ur just spying on other countries becouse of national security how does that make other people feel especially becouse it's complete bullshit about terrorism they hack into businesses and phone calls from the political top of europe yeah I see how that's related to terrorism it's not.

America does this not most important for terrorism but for economic and political reasons my guess that is and even though that's bad the only people capable of changing it won't becouse no matter what it has it's uses for the americans idk i dont think im gonna visit that corrupted country.

I feel like america has lost it's sense of good and bad and politicians in general just thinking about themselves and their motives rather then other people with less who vote for them.

The NSA is just protecting us from terrorism. They don't read innocent Americans data, except for those agents spying on their wives. /endtroll

I literally got mad reading the OP.

So you have no care at all for your personal rights? Pathetic. It doesn't matter what their spying on, if it's personal they shouldn't be allowed to do it. Your pretty much stating it's OK for the government to run your life and tell you what to do, which is essentially giving up all your freedoms.

there are privacy laws for a reason, would you like the NSA watching your every movement? i'm sure you'd get tired of it. you americans are so stupid, and fooled it's unreal.... you have no idea of what your country is actually doing to you..
