Goal of 30 pullups/pushups

Featured Replies

That's really hard to do, your arms van get very painful if you overdo yourself.

Be careful!

Erm no offence but doing 2 pull ups per day won't do shit for you...and what is that I saw about not being able to reach 30 pull ups in 7 months? That's completely possible, you know nothing of lifting or working out if you think otherwise.

i can do 30 chin ups and over a hundred push ups easily but i am also shipping for marine corp boot camp in 6 months so im pretty whipped in shape from my recruiter

Your chin ups would not count in a real competition, neither your push ups

I did this with pushups, started at 5, made it to 10 then I quit :>

Join the club haha.

Bump this up ^ it will take 7 months to get 30 pull-ups and push ups

I'm sorry but if you think you can manage to do 30 pull-ups with strict form within 7 months drug-free then you're delusional, even with twig legs it's impossible.

First off you can do anything as long ass you are constant with the training and as long as you believe you can. Secondly what the hell does twig legs have to do with a pull up your using your upper body not your lower body.

I love when people post this stuff though smile.png it give me more motivation to get it done and prove them wrong. check back in 7 months you will see me doing 30 pullups.

If you have small legs it will be easier to do bodyweight exercises like pull-ups since you have less mass. And no, you won't be doing 30 pull-ups within 7 months of training drug-free. Bye.

bye your negativity is not needed anyway.

You mean his rationality?

You are deluded if you think "First off you can do anything as long ass you are constant with the training and as long as you believe you can."

Is that why all of the top Bodybuilders/Powerlifters of the last 10 years, who have been consistently training, and have been believing in their selves to a degree you havn't come close to experiencing(Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Scot Mendelson, Ryan Kennelly) havn't changed their physiques/strength AT ALL?

Clearly, you don't know shit about muscle-building- Perhaps you should start listening to those who do.

Wow...

Okay honestly, you need to start harder than this....

I am not dissing you or this post.

For me, my lifestyle requires high physical readiness and high standards. I do 22 pullups at one time, and 200 pushups in 5 minutes.

Though there are other requirements I must be physically and mentally prepared for, pullups and pushups are main for me.

2 pullups a week is honestly nothing. It will get you absolutely nowhere. Your body can start losing muscle in up to 2 days of inactivity, depending on your metabolism.

I do at LEAST 50 pullups a day to maintain. Just 10 simple pullups at a time every couple of hours.

For real, good luck... But you NEED to increase your standards and grab some sort of motivation out of your ass to hit the gym, otherwise you will have no gains. You will stay skinny (or fat) and constantly ask yourself, "why am I not getting bigger or gaining muscle?"

Keep up the hard work, just make it hard..

Don't bullfuck us

ummm... 30 pushups? i can do 50 non stop chest hitting the ground each time and approved by the marine corps so yes i am doing them right easily. and i dont really workout. pull ups not so easy but i can pull out about 17ish dead hang those are a little trickier. try for a better goal for yourself such as 20-30 pullups 50-75 pushups

Approved by the marine corps doesn't mean they would be approved in a real competition.

I have my ways of training just like anyone that lifts does and I know my body best and due to my car wreck that I had when I was 5 it's better for me to build up as I go along this way. I'm also not trying to be rude about it and I apologies to sw1tt for bashing him.

I will be reading all the comments still but I am not going to be changing my training for the pull-ups.

Also this is not all I do I I also lift 3x a week. I also know for huge gains it's best to workout 5x a week but I can't overdo myself.

30 pullups can be achieved in 7 months if you work at it as for pushups you can likely meet that goal in 7 weeks

as for the twig legs comment i believe he ment that twig legs would make it easier as you would weigh less and could still have upper body to accomplish the task.

but honestly anyone not really overweight could get in shape to do 30pullups in 7months

Thanks,

Btw I'm not doing 2 a week I'm starting out doing 2 everyday for a week then 3 then 4 for everyday for a week then 5 until I build up to 30 everyday.
