I get why they ban but I ont get it also I mean 50+% of 07 players are botters and although yes goldfarming shops may buy the mems with gold somwhere down the line someone paid Jagex for the membership. Also about 20+% of 07 player buy gold on their accout due to being too lazy or motivated to do it. If they "come up with a way to ban all bots" like they say they will(ill believe it when i see it) it will have a major affect on their companys income.

 

I personaly just dont see a point in jagex banning botters.

& after the players start to quit, they'll have to open f2p worlds in order to get more people interested in the game. This will allow for even more botters, and even the f2p players would quit. However that scenario would never happen, and it's just a guess.

 

Also, jagex knows that even if they ban our accounts we'll just buy memberships for new ones, more money for them.

Those they ban tend to make new accounts = more money coming in.

 

Improved customer relations with their legit paying members.

 

To support the ingame economy.

Why WOULDNT they ban?

They'll never ban every bot in the game. They only say that to give false hope to the legit players (if any). They ban goldfarmers just for the cash, and occasionally bust a couple thousand to make people think that they're "back at it"

Why would the real people quit? The botters are the people that let the legit players actually play. Bots make nature runes, make bow string, make alching supplies, farm ranarrs for prayer potions, fish and cook shark. They do all the stuff that legit players don't do, because they are here to pk, and pk only. Well pretty much. But yeah Jagex is stupid and should ban less.

They should at least ban the bots with names like "grwy6u4te" they're the ones i hate because the owners can't be fucked picking a more legit name which would take them like 10 seconds to do...
