why wont my scripts work? help please

Featured Replies

okay, so i go to a script i want, i copy and past the script to notepad. I save the file under script where im supposed to and i rename it but when i pull up osbot it says your script did not work and you have no scripts. Any ideas on what im doing wrong?

You need to save the script (If written in Groovy) as a .groovy. If the script is written in java you need the .class file.  The bot picks up these two file types. It also picks up .java file types.

So either: .groovy, .class, or .java

Don't change the extension to .class if .java or .groovy don't work, it'll need to be compiled. And if it's a packaged script, or multiple files in a folder, put the whole folder in the scripts folder.

Regarding Dustin post, also make sure you save the script in the correct folder so the client can pickup the scripts, please follow the instructions below.

Mac/Linux :%userprofile%/osbot/scripts

Windows: C:\user\username\OSBot\scripts.

P.S: Moved thread to support section, please next time place the thread in the correct section.

Make sure you're using "Save as.." with 'Save as type' set to 'All files'.

If you're not doing this and you're saving something like Example.groovy.. it'll actually save as Example.groovy.txt.
