Cleverbot, Custom Auto-Responders or Nothing?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've been messing around with Auto-Responders for scripts, I tried out cleverbot however It seems to 'continue' the conversation which is not something I want. As far as I'm concerned the longer a conversation goes the more likely cleverbot will:

  1. Repeat itself
  2. Say something totally retarded

I'm currently writing a very basic responder which currently will only be triggered by a few things and never respond to the same person twice.

tl;dr: What type of experience have you had with chat responders? Do you think they make botting safer?

I sure think they are making bots safer. I'd love to see your custom responder, can you keep us updated? :)

I'm certain that what I'm currently doing is far too basic to be actually used by more than one person at a time (Would have far too many things repeated).

Chat responders get you banned mate.

There is a certain colour botting website which has always had chat responders and it hasn't caused bans for years. (Granted they hardly ever respond)

I believe Chat Responders get you banned even quicker, the responses just don't make sense. People tend to catch on after a few lines in & report you. You draw attention to yourself when talking.

Cleverbot can only respond a certain amount of responses for questions, etc. They're isn't a unlimited amount which minimizes pattern recognition.
