List of Known Bugs & Fixes

Featured Replies

The following list of suggestions tend to fix the majority of bugs that have been reported.

The most important thing is to ALWAYS make sure you're on the latest client version, to check be sure to click the download button on the navigation bar to see which version of the client is currently up to date.

The second most important thing is to make sure you have the latest version of Java installed, for Windows Users you can check this using this link;

For those of you that use Macs/Mac-books, you can update your java through the Apple Store.

Bug Fixes

  1. Loading Remote Scripts -There are two solutions, Number 1: Your java is out of date,  Number 2 One of your scripts is outdated and corrupting the rest(often.groovy), this can be fixed by removing your local scripts and adding them back one by one and testing the results, ensure that you're not adding .jars/groovy's to your scripts folder that are seriously out of date e.g. the scriptwriter has been away for some time and there have been no further updates.
  2. Awaiting User Input - This bug is where when you try to log into the OSbot client nothing happens, so once you've put in your details there is no response from the server, updating your Java can solve this. If you still have problems you should delete your local.dat file located in your OSbot folder underneath the 'Data' subsection.
  3. You cannot save an account - This is easily solved by deleting your Local.dat located under Data in your OSbot folder.
  4. Failed to login - There are three fixes for this, having the latest version of Java installed, logging into the client with a capital letter at the start of your username or deleting your OSbot folder and re-downloading the client.
  5. I load the client but then Runescape doesn't start? You have to manually load runescape by clicking the '+' sign on your client on the top right corner, this loads Runescape and a new bot tab.
  6. Error connecting to server If you're encountering this error when the bot is up and running, something on your end is blocking the connection between the client and the server, this is commonly fixed by port-forwarding or granting port 50050 access, this can be completed by following this easy to understand guide on how to port-forward; http://osbot.org/forum/topic/11471-easy-guide-to-port-forwarding/
  7. Not properly padded - If you load the client and you receive and error in your log saying something similar to; 'Final block not properly padded' you should delete your OSbot folder and client and re-download, this should fix your problem.

It's also worth taking a look at this guide by Sherlock, it's great and full of important information that can help you get your bot started.
