Hey Khal, don't think think the script is broken..but it won't recognize that I have 4 coal in the melting pot. Because of this it won't proceed to add more coal.

Melting pot? Not sure what melting pot we are talking about here.
As far as I know there is no task that involves anything like that.

Unless you are talking about blast furnace, which is the wrong topic :D
It knows exactly how much coal and whatever ore is in there, so it has no influence
