So i've ran OSbot before i followed the instructions given to me to use java jre 8, but when i followed all the steps and did everything right, the application keeps saying that my java version is outdated. How do i fix this?

Try installing Java SE Development Kit 8u261 , I personally have this file with me and always use for VPS or servers when I setup them and had no issues with it :)
