Is it wise to buy a bond or membership card for botting? I read that bonds have an increased ban chance or is that a rumor?

Not a pro botter but tbh if you're going to bot, get a bond. It's cheaper and at the end of the day if you're botting the account it will eventually get banned.

Personally, I'd wait until they do the twitch partnership / RS Membership is on offer because 4-5M/Bond 07 is pretty expensive per account, most wont live that long before banned, so personally I train my accounts or low level suicide bot them, for the max gp in bulk.

Wait until the membership is on offer / free trials ect.
