I highly recommend anyone looking to start writing scripts to look at and study this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_syntax 

The hardest part of writing scripts for me is all the hooblaw that goes along with all the code your adding. So for me studying this while studying snippets has really helped me in understanding more about how scripts work and also the great guides from @Apaec and @Explv. Hope this helps some of you out there that are looking to get into coding and or writing your own scripts!
