True. Although if we can successfully colonize another planet (mars, for example), we will increase our chances of survival in the long term by a factor of 200. This would be a great step in securing the future for our species. 

 

Infact, as most of you will know, we have a project underway that plans to do just that within the next 15 years.  Link is below.

Yea I heard this on the radio a few weeks ago, suppose to colonize mars and send 2 people by 2018 or 2022 (idk) pretty nuts
