Offline bot - CPU usage spikes

Featured Replies

Hello,

I want to ask for the following update:

When the bot goes offline the CPU usage goes crazy which means when your botting on a large value of account your OS becomes very unresponsive which is a pain in the ass i.e. I was running this at 80% CPU capacity but it become very unresponsive and I just restarted it for speed - http://prntscr.com/1m6fgl .

You can see how one client cpu usage spikes like crazy (one offline client) - http://prntscr.com/1m6gum ; This is normally able to run 15 bots.

Please resolve this because this is a pain in the ass to deal with.

When the bot goes offline you're not able to use the bot anyways, so it doesn't matter if the CPU usage is high, honestly.

Falixus, not true.

You can still use the Client even if it is Offline if you were already using it when it was Online.

EX: Open client -> client logs in -> open new bot -> client logs off -> bot can still run

Yes, but the client is offline only for a few hours, so it doesn't really matter.

Also^, if you come back with 10+ clients open on each device it's hell when one of them alone spikes to 90/100% cpu usage lol.

It does matter that the bot's offline for a few hours a day.. that's a big deal lol.

true. all my 20 bots went to 3-4 FPS when it went offline. had to turn em all off and use Advertising other bots isn't allowed., which i hate doing

lol this ^

The bot is now back online, anyways.

The reason the CPU gets so high is because it keeps trying to connect to the server every 5 seconds on each account. There is no fix for it right now but there could always be one considered in the future.

I seriously hope you don't believe this yourself. I have programmed multisockets in java before to communicate with my desktop and server computers and their is no lag when one of my nodes is offline (checks every second). There is something seriously wrong with what it's doing when it's trying to look for the server. I'm assuming its a combination of hashing of the password among otherthings it has to do to handshake with the server. Max and Laz aren't stupid with how they built the account system, so it's a very complex process.

Don't defend something you don't have concrete proof about.

Whatever it is I am in the same boat as you. It generally spikes my cpu usage >90 and this morning actually rendered my computer completely unusable. It seems like a flaw that should be easily avoided/fixed.

Very frustrating to have to deal with this.

Does "Low-CPU" help at all? it takes me down from 60% to 15%

Low CPU doesn't effect the issue as changing the FPS ingame isn't related to the high usage.

Bump, I still feel strongly about this.
