Sorry for the silly question

As you say they can only be used in-store; is it a code you send the buyer or a physical card via the mail?

I was hoping to just send a code, & then the person uses it on the Apple website.

I could send the physical cards + PM the code, but the cards would be in a plain envelope mailed through a USPS mailbox, so no tracking or anything.

Ah my bad - I was under the impression it was a physical apple store; and not the online store. Thanks for the clear up.

They will work in store too, given I ship the physical cards.
