Can you get banned for playing on the same IP as a botted account?

Featured Replies

Can you get banned for playing on the same IP as a botted account? As in, if I manually play on my main while botting on an alt account do I run the risk of getting banned on my main?

I'd also like to know, what are the chances of my main getting banned if I xferred wealth off a botted account from the same IP?

I don't remember this ever happening but since I've been out of the botting scene for a while now I'd like to know just to be sure.

If your bot gets banned they will flag your ip? Then there's a risk I think.

Got over 500 bot farming accounts banned on the same IP I play legit on my main on, never had any issues.

same with me but more around ~100 accs banned on same ip that i play my main and other legit accs on every single day :)

You're not supposed to. Your IP will more than likely be flagged so they watch your account more closely but unless you're botting or doing RWT or something you shouldn't get banned just due to an IP relation.

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably stick to using a VPN/Proxy and not interact with my main on that account to be on the safe side though.

Never heard of it happening, but they could flag the IP sonjust refrain from ever Botting on the main, however tempted you may get
