August 17, 201312 yr I have decided to make this topic because I may have discovered a way Jagex uses to catch people that are botting. Let me give you some background information first. Part 1 A few weeks ago I had my account botting while i went to sleep and the next morning I came in to check on it and my account was logged out. So I Proceeded to log in as normal and once I was logged into my account I noticed that I was stuck in a random and that's about the only thing I was able to notice before my account automatically logged out on me. Within a few seconds of me logging in, I was automatically logged out. After this I tried logging in again and it said my account had been disabled (banned). At that point i knew what was happening so i checked my account status and i saw i had been banned for 3 days. Part 2 Last night I had my bot running again and I was watching it for a little while. As I was killing monsters with the bot I noticed my account got summoned to do a random and normally the account, due to the anti-ban measures and good random solving scripts OSbot offers, solves the randoms no problem. Last night was a bit strange though because I noticed I was summoned to a random and as soon as I Was summoned to the random I saw that my account automatically logged out instead of solving it. I also know that it was not the script that logged me out. Coincidence or? Part 3 My theory behind this whole thing , simply put, is that Jagex or a certain Anti- BOT System may be periodically logging people out as soon as they enter the randoms to check for botting. If it were a bot, a re log in would most likely not occur right away and if it was a real person behind the keyboard, a log in would most likely occur right after, therefore, allowing Jagex to catch botters this way. In conclusion, All im really saying is that just be careful with botting on the 2007 servers. These occurrences could be a mere coincidence or they may not be. Just because your client says you have Anti-Ban, you are still botting at your OWN RISK. Thanks for reading and feedback is appreciated.
August 17, 201312 yr I doubt it because what if they just dc... and your a legit player then your banned because you dced.
August 17, 201312 yr I don't think this adds up at all log outs happen when Jagex change stuff in randoms to fuck bots and the client logs out, people get banned for being stuck in randoms & jagex tele to the random rooms and ban the botters, solved Edited August 17, 201312 yr by StarService
August 17, 201312 yr Chances are you just got logged out because your internet cut out or something, anyway, just add your account details into the bot and it will log you back in...
August 17, 201312 yr Thats what happened to me when I was using Novums cooker. I thought I lost internet connection but everything was fine. I logged back in and started botting again. Next day. I try to log in after leaving the bot on all night and I am banned.
August 17, 201312 yr you maybe right but sometimes when you are botting even if you solve all randoms if someone reported you, you will be banned too. i believe they use many ways to ban people not only one way no need to mention the J-Mod ban too.
August 17, 201312 yr There is most likely more than one method to catch botters. Random events, is without a doubt one of them. They can probably easily see accounts stuck in randoms and how long they've been there for. I wouldn't doubt if they had J-mods hiding in the random events some days just to ban people. J-mods also manually ban bots. I also THINK that if a moderator reports you, Jagex will read the moderator report and give you a 'bot busting' ban. it's what my friend had. On another note, Runescape automatically logs you out after 6 hours playtime. No glitch there. If you say it randomly logged out, yes, it's just a coincidence.
