Intel Core i9 Announced

Featured Replies

One picture lists them as i7-7800x and i7-7820x, while the other lists them as i9. If you're building a new computer, I'd say either one of those would be a nice middle of the road approach, though. If you're upgrading from a previous top of the line, you may as well go higher.

OMG THAT L3 CACHE THO

It's not that big lol

The server edition CPUs from even 2-3 years ago far outshine these desktop models in terms of on-die memory

The only things that would be better about these CPUs are that they have more cores and a newer architecture. The other stats are pretty much the same for extreme edition

AMD typically has more L3 cache than the intels. I mean I did switch over to an i7, but at what cost?

Realistically, who has the biggest L3 cache on this forum? I think mine is atleast 0.3MB more than anyone else's.
