[Free-Source] Woodcutter

Free Source Bot (OSbot API)

Hi, been doing Java for about two days and decided that my first project would be a woodcutter :) and I consider version 0.1 to be done.

This is not a great script, it's made for fun and I will continue to work on it. What I need is for people to test it and read the script and give some feedback.

Any feedback would be great, I am new to Java and use a C# structure in my code.

Features:

  • Cuts wood
  • Finds Varrock from anywhere in the world
  • Banks when inventory full

Problems:

  • Only works in Varrock
  • Doesn't work unless Axe equipped
  • Slow
  • No GUI or text
  • Unoptimized code

Things to add in version 0.2

  • Axe detection
  • More featured zones
  • GUI (Timeran, exp/hr,TTL & more)
  • Better Anti ban
  • Better performance

Huge thanks to these people for making this a working script:

  • Tik-Tok
  • Eclipse
  • Puck
  • Nimadepi
  • Banker
  • Senpii
  • Articron

Great start to java. There are many snippets, tutorials around that you can make use of. Goodluck!

Nice, just for later to improve ur code: use conditional sleeps after interactions and etc, Instead of using Entity u can use RS2Object.

Other than that good job! keep scripting :)

I have too that and tried it before, however I need to test it out and make sure I know how it works first. I will be sure to try RS2Object :)

Thanks

Pretty good for just 2 days :)

You can add in wielding axes, progressive axes, etc pretty easily by using the Equipment API, and if you want to add a GUI, I'd recommend Eclipse Windowbuilder.

You need to check animations and look into using ConditionalSleeps, currently will just spam chop the tree.

Yeah I have a lot in mind for version 0.2! i'll be sure to give Eclipse Windowbuilder a look.

The bot works but will click the tree about 5-10 times before reaching it, this will for sure be fixed before 0.2! Thanks for the suggestion :)

So what you can do is add in a conditional sleep for moving, then one for the actual chopping process which would check animation (namely last animation time)/level up/invent full/etc.
