I've never tried NMZ since coming back to RS, I understand you need certain quests for certain bosses.  Which quests would be most idle for a range pure with 1 def and 44 prayer ? 

Well you could go the MTD Route or The demon route

Demon Quest line for Nmz= (The Grand Tree, Tree Gnome Village, Lost City, Vampire Slayer, Fight Arena)

MTD- pre sure is 

- Vampire Slayer
- Mountain Daughter
- Lost City
- Gnome Stronghold
- Fight Arena
