Suggestion

Featured Replies

I plan on writing scripts for this bot, and I have a suggestion to make for the bot developers. Instead of using a similar Tile to tile based system which p****bot has, could you guys implement A* into the bot, so that script developers can just register a tile, and aslong as the tile is within the region and it is walkable. This prevents bots from taking the same path every time  and makes it look more realistic.

Of course! A star was planned from the beginning! Although it will be tweaked so that the paths are slightly random and not always the best path to give it a more human feel.

So glad to hear this.

The scripting api will simply have commands like walkTo(coordinateX, coordinateY) which will be based on a pathfinding algorithm like Laz said. We also plan to have a  global path walker, where a central servers store xtea keys from the botclients and builds all the clipping data from all the regions available. Then if needed, the server will provide a path if the required xtea keys are available. This however is something that won't be in the initial release.

Thanks Maxi will be making scripts when OSBot is released!

If you guys want a better path finding system than A*, myself, and a few people from R-S wrote one for our revision 464, I'd be more than happy to share. However what Maxi stated would be even better! :P
