Jack,

Thank you for taking the time to create this thread. I've found it very helpful.

Care to elaborate on this?

Thanks

sur,

they won't ban your main account if you're also botting on an account on the same ip. Which removes the use of a proxy.

Reason being, let's say that you were botting at the library. Somebody else at the library was playing runescape normally, if your bot gets banned - do they deserve a ban?

Of course not. They didn't do anything wrong at all.

That's why accounts that are on the same ip are also reviewed at the time of a bot ban, to chain ban. But, if you're not botting; you won't get banned on your main account. Given that, why would you need to use a proxy? You wouldn't :D

Thank you for the response, Jack.

Would you say that if a main were on the same ip as a bot, the main would be flagged regardless of what the next logged in IP would be?

No, for the same reason I gave earlier. It's unreasonable to assume that the main account is the person who owns the bot

I've got theoretical reasoning behind what I say, as well as experimental.

The way I conducted my experiment was legitimately playing on an account, and running bots on leather tanning with a mule on the same ip. I bought 50m on a mule, and used the money to create f2p bots, and ran the bots 1 at a time until ban.

After 6 days the mule and my 9 leather tanning bots were banned. The account I was playing on was fine, it was a mems account if you're wondering. The main account was not freshly created, it was one of my childhood accounts that I used.

The bots were ran at the same time

Interesting, so what if you were to run a bot on the childhood account after your other bots were flagged and banned?

Do you believe that account to be watched or flagged potentially?

No, I don't think it'd be watched or flagged.

wat

I would argue that your main would be analyzed if you were on the same IP.

If you DON'T bot on it, then you're safe.

If you DO bot, then you will be temporarily banned or perma, depending on the script.

It just makes sense this way. IDK, what do you think?

Well, he said after. If it was the same time as the other accounts were being botted, I would fully agree with what you just said.

Flagging IPs doesn't make sense in terms of resource usage. If you continue to monitor an IP that's had bans in the past, you'll be wasting your time if they stop botting.

There is extreme cases when IPs are flagged, lets say you make 500 accounts a day and they're all constantly getting banned. Yeah, that IP will get flagged. Because it's an extreme case and it makes sense. With regular gold farms that are not run in the worst possible way, IP flagging does not make sense.

I continue to believe that it is not a problem anybody will face if they are botting.

I completely agree with you on this.

It's wasteful to flag an IP and constantly monitor it, unless it is constantly making 500 plus accounts and botting 24/7.

Mhmm. That's why I find it completely stupid when people are like "omg I got banned in 12 hours my IP must be flagged!" Like no retard, your IP isn't flagged, they literally don't care about you.

Lul

Anyways, yeah, that's my views on IP flagging.

Lmao, not only that, but botting an account straight off of tutorial island is a guaranteed ban. The retards who do this, are the same ones who complain about being banned in a couple of hours/days.
