Constant unresponsive client when choosing scripts

The client opens and operates fine (low fps prolly my laptop though), but when I go to choose a script (doesnt matter which one) the client becomes unresponsive and it does not react to any clicks. I have to open Task Manager to force end task on the client just to restart it. I have the latest Java SE program from their website and have restarted my computer several times. 

 

Also, I dont know how to open the 'log' that shows errors and all that coding language nonsense to see if it comes up with an error or whatever. I hope ya'll understand what I mean.
