I've been fire bolting Iron Dragons with Chaos Gauntlets, it costs a lot but eventually you'll get good drops and pay off the runes :)

Might have to try this tabbing.

Cursing is cheap if you are just looking to gain magics levels, fire striking though if you want to gain hp
