I know they do try to target gold farmers but I personally attempted a ~15 account bot farm and had all the accounts trading 1 mule, the mule is still around while all the bots were banned

You won't get banned unless you start a gold farm and trade between like 20+ accs per day or something stupid. I played 3 accounts legit while botting multiple different accs (few accounts perm banned that had traded my legit accounts) and still no ban on my legit accs
