Well it would have saved a lot of time at first. But think about this: If you have to edit something in the post now, you'd have to edit 10 posts, with the announcement, you don't, you just have to edit it once. Also, it does look cleaner and more professional .

@Maldesto why did you delete my post? I'll post it again: You can easily add forums to the announcements by simply editing the announcement in the Moderator CP it and selecting the added forum. Also some sections don't have the post yet, and this would fix that.

I guess you're right. I know very little about javascript and resort to snippets for my websites, so It's a bit different for me I guess. I'm taking classes on javascript this summer (if all goes well).
