  1. Hey guys, I've not written a script for a bot client in a good couple of years and have barely had any exposure to RuneScape as a whole in this time, but am aware that the face of the game has changed quite significantly in terms of botting focus; decent scripts seem to prioritise not looking like a bot over fastest exp/greatest profit. I've had a good look through multiple botting forums and am still a little a loss in terms of what you're keeping in mind when developing these scripts, so am hoping someone can offer a little insight. I understand the OSRS dev team is quite small, so imagine that most bot detection would rely on detecting patterns/un-human-like behaviour; I believe that this extends beyond logging UI actions and may also incorporate comparing the activity on the account to the average player (only training 1 skill/no quests done etc) or even other bots, my question about this is are these unavoidable/automatic spot-checks, or do these tend to be the final nails in the coffin once an account has been flagged (player reports/suicide botting)? Do we have reason to believe that running the same script on a brand new lvl 3 acc and a max level account with 8+ hrs played legit every day have the same chance of resulting in a ban, for example? Or if this is too extreme, if a player was to play legit but only run scripts on tasks/training they didn't want to do, is this just as risky as if he'd run the same scripts on an account that was otherwise untouched? I know we can't possibly know how Jagex detect bots exactly, but there's enough successful botting out there to obtain some sort of general idea of how to approach the process. Another little question, I've seen a few posts suggesting the Jagex record your cursor co-ordinates every 500ms, does anyone have any idea what they're doing with that data? Surely that's way too much for anyone to analyse manually, but I wouldn't imagine they'd waste much money developing the software to use that sort of information since it's not really helping their revenue any? What are everyone's opinions on the importance of emulating 'human-like' mouse movements? Thanks for your time.
