I know you said you already bought a case, but if this can help anyone else this is what I used to have before a switched to droid. https://www.lunatik.com/products/iphone-5/taktik-extreme This is a ridiculously protective case, you could literally chuck it at a wall and it would be fine, it just isn't waterproof. And it's a bit bulky too
