Just be patient, don't try to do everything you can until you get the desired result. Learn and use what you learned.

Remember you'll have to quit sometime (Old men playing RS really doesn't sound too awesome) so just do it sooner and achieve something. I can't make you do anything, but just think about what you can do in the time you play RS for a year
