Only started coding using this api yesterday, but am I wrong in saying its not fixed? I'm still getting errors regarding getName with the latest update? Any help is appreciated

The fix hasn't been released yet lol, be patient.

It's a problem with all bots currently, all local player methods (Including ones on other botting clients) are broken. There's no fix on our end, just need to wait for the next update.
