APA, is there a reason you recommend an auto clicker like murgee random auto clicker instead of using a bot client for simply alching?

personally i would bot while blending in a bank (ge bank), however some users have tried poh and I havent heard anything bad about it so far.

Perfect, thankyou! And as far as osrs updates?  How do you know when they are updating and when to stop botting? Also would you recommend this over murgee random auto clicker for simply alching?

Hey!  A couple things...

1) I may be interested in using this bot pending answers to the below questions.  Could I possibly have a trial?

2) If all I am interested in doing is high alchemy from 60 to 94 magic (bank standing skill), is there a pro to using this bot over something like murgee random auto clicker or a mouse recorder? I am just asking because in APA Alchemy, he stated to go with autoclickers or recorders  in his forum posts (this may be because he said hes not often updating that script currently because he is working on other projects). Just wanted to get your insight.

3) Is it better to high alch in a crowded world at the ge or in your POH?  

4) Saw you said to not bot after an update.  This is because os buddy stops working properly correct?  How do you know when osrs is updating so as to not have your bot crash mid botting and get banned?

5) Lastly, does this bot have automatic breaks and log ins and outs for high alchemy?  Does it also randomize click timing?

Bro, i've been using the script and i have yet to be banned. (Lets pray i don't.. ) I use mirror client, but also, when in game, i talk to people around me. I reply to my private messages. I sometimes dismiss events. 

 

But one huge thing i think has stopped me from being caught is i stop the bot, and switch my reset pattern for an hour or so, just regain agro legit. 

 

Then restart the baby back up.

 

One thing i've noticed that the walk to bank or reset agro can be long. Bank for items is reallllyy skettch.. This can give away that you're botting. It gets to the bank chest and stands there for a few seconds and then banks. It x value withdraws the pots after food when it can simply click 3 times like a "real" person would do... 

 

clicks aren't done in a human response kinda way.. Instantly moving, not stopping and re clicking to move on the mini map. 

 

How long have you been using the script?  I used it for about 2 weeks.  I also used the mirror client and talked to people every once in a while.  I had the software dismiss events.  I'm not overly unhappy with the result, still got 87 str and 80 range and only a 2 day bay.  Sucks I have to finish this account out legit now though.

Multiple regions but mostly crab claw island east 6.  About 4 or 5 hours a day with breaks in between and legit play as well.

Unlucky atleast it's only a 2day ban, just make sure you take extra care if botting further! If you're worried about it happening again, it's well worth reading this article written by one of the devs: osbot.org/forum/topic/45618-preventing-rs-botting-bans/

Hey I can look at adding this, however seeing as walking is event based (and handled by the client) it would most likely not be possible to add this while mid-path, however I will have to consult the limitations of the API to get a true answer. Perhaps, however, I can add food eating as a priority over walking, so that it will eat before starting on a path.

Got my first ban =/ I did get to 87 str and 80 range before the ban though.  Is a 2 day bot bust ban.  Hopefully it does not become permanent =/  I know this is one of the better bots too being that a majority of it is afk.  I guess botting  really is dead =(.  And this stupid game takes wayyyyy too long to play legit.

Thank's for raising this issue, I will take a look today. As CCI was newly added, a few bugs may have bypassed testing and this looks like it might be one of them!

 

As for your concerns with errors, due to the nature of them and where and how they occur, the response can be different. There is no real way to target particular errors and provide a response, as the simply better way to handle it is to fix the error. As a result, the response is usually that the script sits dormant and does not respond, however occasionally actions can be unpredictable and the behaviour is undefined. 

 

Hopefully I will have this fixed for you by the end of today so that you never have to worry that it will happen again though!

ive noticed it can also failed to hop at  crab claw location 8 if someone else is there.

just glitched again, he runs a bit south west of the guy who takes you and gets stuck next to the water.  seems like a 50/50 chance of working so far (as far as crab claw isle).

hey apa, just tried crabclaw.  It works great if you start at the bank and start the script, but when it rebanks ive noticed it sometimes gets stuck a bit past the guy that takes you to the island and then it just sits there indefinitely.  

 

also, when it does time out and starts going to negative numbers for camera move and mouse move, what exactly is happening?  By this I mean, in situations like what I posted about last, what exactly is the bot doing when it gets stuck?  Does it keep clicking in one spot or does it pause?  I didnt see any flags popping up on the map so assume it wasnt clicking but just want to make sure.  I know some bots have bad programming and will click over and over again trying to get to a certain spot when stuck and this will be a huge red flag for jagex.  How does yours deal with glitches and getting stuck?

 

It almost seems like its failing to click on that yellow square road in the map that the bot creates.  Im just nervous that in a situation like this, with the bot standing still and doing nothing for potential hours, it could be a quick ban.  Does the bot log out after a certain time of failing to get where it is supposed to be?

 

just tested it again and seemed to work this time on returning to the  bank and coming back.  I'll keep a log in case if goes off again.  As stated before though, i would still like to know what the bot is programmed to do in case of crash/inability to reach intended location.

Haha not a problem APA.  I'm definitely not a programmer so would have no idea about the work that must take.  All in all though, A++ script.  The thing i like best is how little the script really does.  By this I mean, it looks very organic because it is not clicking often and looks like an afk player.  Very smart.  As far as crab claw isle, can you just select it and the bot will walk out there, or do you have to walk him/her out there.  Couldve sworn I read something about this somewhere.

Hey APA! Happy Thanksgiving!  Loving the script so far (77 range, 72 str and a fire cape so far!).  My question to you is this.  Should I enable hop if crashed?  My worry is that if I keep getting crashed and hopping, and if I cannot find a world with no  on  there, itll just keep hopping and look suspect.  What are your thoughts on this?  Would you enable it?  It might also be a good idea to build into the script an option to check 2 zones before hopping.  So for example, have your bot search for east 3 or east 5, and pick the first one with no on there.  If someone is there then hop.  The reason I say this is it seems sandcrabs are getting very popular and it is difficult to find a location without getting crashed.
