BEWARE - Some not so clever sod.
I know buddy, I'm not here to be patronised, just because I only have a few posts doesn't mean I don't know my left from my right, simply that I happen to have only recently joined this community, and rest assured I'm a veteran LoL player. I'm not suggesting it will be something that happens en mass, to all the users here and as I said also, no harm was done. But there may be others who could be susceptible to a similar attempt because they DO have an easy to compromise e-mail account, and I'd rather not see that happen, capisce? Now, back to farming IP >:]

My friend, if you read what I'd typed you'd discover I have changed my password. Believe me, it's not a virus or malware, as nothing was compromised it was simply someone that wasn't myself submitting a password reset request. This wasn't a complaint honey, simply making people aware that someone associated with this site was likely the culprit. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, like I said there are assholes in every corner of the internet. Read before you post matey.

BEWARE - Some not so clever sod.
Hullo all, just throwing you a heads up here. I recently joined the site, and use the same username for League ( as many of us like to stick to one or two aliases). Now, this is the only forum I've recently been active on, and have never previously experienced issues of this ilk before. Some moron submitted a password request for my League username earlier today, and the only place I can imagine he'd have got the idea and username from would be this site. Now, this want-to-be thief clearly isn't the brightest spark as in order to actually reset my password he'd have to have access to my e-mail account too. This for obvious reasons has very different login details, and I took the precaution many years ago to have a few backup mail accounts that redirect to each other, so should one be compromised I would be notified immediately (the wonders of mobile technology really does have its' uses). My first step was obviously to not use the link in the e-mail I received initially, as having not requested the reset myself, I was suspicious of phishing. Instead I took to the official website and submitted a request myself, and changed the password straight away as a precaution. No harm done, but mildly alarming when whilst I was at work. So, to the users in this community; beware! There are assholes in this corner of the internet too - so it may be prudent, especially if you were daft enough to keep the same passwords/usernames to change them pronto. To the fuckwit who tried to nick my smurf, please do us all a favour and die in a hole. Cheers, Xeroze

I'm not randomly throwing things out there, though I'd appreciate some clarification on "things you aren't aware of" - I'm expressing a dissatisfaction with your pricing strategy. I'm not having a go at your work at all, what it boils down to is the fact that in the past hundreds of far more cohesive scripts, that functioned flawlessly were completely free, and as a tight northern bastard, I don't like what you're charging punters for the COMPARATIVE quality. Like it or not, that's simply how I feel buddy. I'm trying to raise your awareness and market understanding honey, not hold your hand in writing a script, which i don't doubt you could do far better than myself.

I'm not saying in any way that it's a bad script. But based on the feedback you're receiving, and yes i have read your comments and i know you're actively working to improve things, i'm expressing my opinion that you shouldn't be charging what I consider a relatively extortionate amount for your work. It's my two cents. Regarding "judgement using others opinion" - isn't that the whole point in a feedback forum? To help me decide if a good or service is worth purchasing, based on others' experiences of said product? You wouldn't buy a game that receives damning reviews from every critic and all your friends say is crap just because the developers tell you you should pay for it first, then make your mind up if it was worth it when it's already too late. If you're looking to appeal to more customers on the site, and make yourself a more consistent income from your hard work it's important to listen to your prospective clients as well as those offering you feedback based on their own experiences. Not sticking your fingers in your ears because you don't like what they're saying, irregardless of whether they may have a valid point or not. I could have come in here, briefly flamed your thread and never returned, but that would have helped neither of us in the long run, so consider this constructive criticism and perhaps appreciate what i'm trying to say, despite if you may or may not actually agree.

My point was not that the script itself was terrible, i'm sure it's pretty good all things considered. But the fact you're charging monthly, not either i) a lump sum one time fee, that works out more than subscribtion to all of the content the game itself offers, when you're addressing only a tiny fraction of something to exploit and ii)free to access as it's still effectively in beta - why you're asking people who have paid you money to help you develop it TO REACH the finished product is something I cannot fathom. As a new user of OSbot, i'd love to give the script a whirl, and give you constructive feedback as to what exactly the issues being encountered are, and ways you can go about finding a solution, and at the same time benefiting myself, albeit in an unreliable (for the time being) fashion, but why would I pay for the privilege? The whole purpose of a beta is to fix the bugs and problems people encounter so your retail version results in happy customers. Perhaps with a larger base of "testers" who can collectively give you larger, more concise and definite feedback you'll improve your script at a vastly quicker rate, enabling you to market the script to a much bigger audience, who are willing to pay for something that does exactly what they're looking for - a more appealing script will of course ultimately result in more people investing in your work. So no, I haven't bought it (yet).

MONTHLY. Hell, for a script i'd find it hard to pay that as a one time fee. Allow me elaborate - there are so many programs that can do slight variations of the same thing slightly better or slightly worse, that all run the same risk of the developer getting bored and stopping updates without ANY fees. For christ sake, i thought people wrote scripts as a personal development hobby, taking pride in their abilities when things turn out flawless. Not a half-assed attempt at running their own business. It looks worse than historic Sorcgarden scripts used to be, though granted it's the first for this particular bot. I appreciate these things do take effort, but you shouldn't be charging for them until they really are perfect, it's like people selling brand ripoffs for the full price, and the only stock they manage to release from their sweatshop hasn't undergone the final 50% of the manufacturing process, so you open a box with your exciting new shoes, to find out the nike symbol is stuck on with PVA glue and drops off the first time it rains, there's no inner sole in the damn thing and when you go to tie them on your foot you can't, because it's missing the shoelaces. Please put the effort in to make it flawless, and remember there's a reason people aren't charged for playing beta's - they're your lab rats you can afford to fuck up with, because at least you're feeding them so they appreciate the sentiment that you're trying to make the world a better place. Fuck up with the finished product people parted with their hard-earned cash for and suddenly you've got a lawsuit on your hands.
