    This is a common misconception a lot of people has when hosting sotws, most think once they slap a theme in mind, they post the thread, every artist will come flocking to participate. It's fine when you have a very big community with your artists, then you can make leeway to just sub par ideas to make as a theme-- because hey it's in season. But if you're trying to open a community like this to engage all your creatives, you HAVE to be creative yourself as well. Put thought into the theme, put creativity in your thread, find ways to challenge designers, there's NOTHING more motivating for artists than seeing other artists flaunt their work. It challenges them to do better, to learn more. I know this may be a tad off-topic, but perhaps a little bit of constructive criticism would help. Don't just expect artists to join, motivate them to join.
  2. Thanks for the comments guys, I added a watermarking tutorial to help our fellow designers who takes commissions on a daily basis.

    Hiya, thanks for the interest. Before I add you via skype though, is there anyway payment could be made for PayPal instead? As I don't really accept any type of payments other than paypal at this moment. Thank you very much for the goodluck!

    Do you agree with the terms of service?: What kind of graphic do you need?: (thread design, signature, web design, etc.) Do you have a theme/color/idea in mind?: (describe what you want me to do if you already have an idea in mind) Any images/renders you want me to use?: (if you have something specific, link it here) The text you want me to insert to this piece?: What's your budget for this specific piece?: What's your Skype ID?:
  9. Dear lord, really sorry about that. Lmao, It was around 4AM when I figured I made illustrations and the lack of sleep... well, you get the idea. And you're welcome, best of luck on future creations.
  10. When we say focal, it's the focus of the tag/signature. So in essence, multifocaled tags are distracting because your eyes flit from one place of the signature to another instead of gradually drawing your eyes to the rest of the art if you had a main focal. For example, let's draw up the rule of thirds. And applying this to one of your tag; And as per the rule of thumb says, that the intersecting sections will be your source of focus on your composition, we assume that it would be around there where you choose a focal, in this case; Your focal would be between the top and bottom right part of the signature as illustrated; However the problem comes in when you have such a huge text coming off from the side, which imperceptibly creates another focal for your tag. And the distance from the focal to the second focal (which of course, creating a multi-focaled effect) given it's legnth, creates a distraction instead of a supplement for the eyes to roam more smoothly around your design. However, one of the easiest fixes I've found for this is not being afraid to cover a bit of your tag/focal area with your text, and sometimes it even creates more impact on the design of the tag like so; (sorry for taking liberties into editing your work btw, I was hoping illustrations would give the lesson a better effect) Like I said though, it's just a base principle and there would be instances where you can freely ignore them in lieu of following your creative instincts, but as a starting designer, I really do advice trying to start with basic principles and implementing them as they'll become second nature later on as you work through your designs.
  11. Multifocaled tags is okay to an extent, but I think it'll be good to have one main focal and try not to distract aspects of your signature far away from your focal. It gets a bit hard for the eyes flitting from one place to another, the rule of thirds is a good base principle in working with focals, you may want to try it. It would also be a good time to branch out and look for other tutorials which would give you ideas on what to add to your tags. Good luck!
  12. Not to be rude, but. I'm pretty sure you realize that earrings are a type of jewelry.
  13. Whenever the word professional is thrown around, I always think about designs like.. I didn't finish it because I've no idea if it's to your liking or not, but if it is, contact me and let me know what you need.

    Smuuuudge. ; u ;

    Took a long break on graphics and recently been back, so I'm trying a new technique and still pretty new at it, would really appreciate comments and feedback. aaand the latest one.
  15. Well, let's see. I agree, you could usually never go wrong with a jewelry for your girl. Specially for someone who's turning 18, it'd be a good thing to remember by. But make sure you just don't hand her the present there and then, hang out (do activities she'd most likely enjoy), set the mood, cook for the girl, maybe? (srsly, one of my exes did this once and I just swooned). Anyhoo, it's really sweet of you and I hope everything goes well with the present and the birthday.
