having issues with runelite crashing
What happens exactly?
-
Release notes (6.0):
- Lots of bug fixes and performance optimizations regarding objects/npcs/widgets.
- Fixed rare cases where client would crash/freeze.
- Now supports attaching to RuneLite (windows only)
Regarding RuneLite:
- This feature was added due to overwhelming amount of requests for it, however it is certainly not recommended to bot using RuneLite, because it is a third party client that could potentially compromise part of protections that mirror provides.
-
If bot does not attach to RuneLite:
- Make sure you have latest RuneLite launcher installed.
-
If RuneLite client keeps closing when attaching:
- Make sure you have latest RuneLite launcher installed (uninstall the old one and then install latest one)
- If that doesn't help, copy the whole RuneLite directory (with the runelite.exe file in it) to your desktop folder and launch it from there
-
If game screen stays black:
- Disable GPU rendering plugin in RuneLite.

I installed a fresh copy of windows 10 pro. The processor runs at 3.7GHZ and it has 16 GB ram and a 6GB graphics card. More than enough to run a damn game from 2005 and a mirror client. It uses less than 15% of my cpu and less than 15% of my RAM. I work IT I’d know if there was an issue but when I can run a modern game with a smooth frame rate with barely any stress and a shit 2010 mac runs it better there’s an issue. What does it say the the top left corner of your screen? x64 to x32? Right? no I know for sure it says that if you’re on windows and THAT IS THE ISSUE. 64 bit is so much more capable and MAC forces it. If its possible to update mirror mode to run 64 bit on windows it will be 10x more efficient and capable. Don’t try to downplay what I’m saying here its a fact.
NOW FOR CLARIFICATION THIS ONLY APPLIES TO COMPLEX SCRIPTS LIKE AIO HUNTER SIMPLE SCRIPTS RUN AT A SOLID 50.
Saying that a pc with those specs is “shit” makes you sound like you don’t know shit. Anyways are you MGI are you coding anything at all? Doubt it.
Now let me educate you take a look buddy this is footage from my boys shit Mac look at those pixels. Now look at what it says top left can you match that in windows 64 to 64??
Make it happen in windows. Can you run the hunter script at a solid 50 frames no you cant. He dropped a frame taking the pic that’s how old the shit is. Otherwise it stays stuck at 50. No one on windows gets this type of performance. His system has 4 gig ram!
I know what I’m talking about and I want mirror mode to continue to improve so I’m just dropping my 2 cents don’t respond as if I’m a dumbass with a shit pc to try to make yourself seem smarter.
Everyone else in my group chat with windows cannot get this smooth of a frame rate. Mirror forces 32 bit on windows.
THIS IS THE MAC :
THIS IS A WINDOWS THAT HAS BETTER SPECS THAN THE MAC. NOT MY "SHITTY PC" FOR EVEN FURTHER CLARIFICATION
The issue is not only isolated to me it affects all windows users and no matter what a 64 bit update would improve performance for everybody.
Even if you get good FPS this will improve it even further.
Jagex official client on windows comes with outdated 32bit java7 jvm, mirror does not 'force' anything.
You can run official client on 64bit java8 jvm, however then you will no longer be running it on 'official' configuration.
Also is windows running under virtual machine or bare hardware?
How many cores does your cpu have?

Need full specs of the machine running it (os, cpu, etc)

Release notes (5.0):
- Fixed memory leaks that would gradually increase memory usage over time.
- Fixed certain crashes/glitches that would occur mostly in version 4.0.

Started happening again to me - was working fine all day, but tried just now and it happened again. Started with a fresh OSRS client and didn't run into any issues, so it looks like it happens intermittently when trying to hook with a client that isn't freshly loaded. I don't know of any major differences of what happens when it was working vs not working when using a client I had already preloaded - seems kind of random.
I'm using 2.5.80 OSBot
Is it rather a rare occurrence or frequent?

just started on the 4.X released yesterday.
Still happens? What is your osbot version?
-
Did this happen on 3.X version?
Or just starting 4.X which was released yesterday?
-
Update should be live now
-
It will use more memory than vanilla, that's not avoidable.
Does it stabilize at ~1.5gb after time? What is the max it keeps rising up to?
It may appear as a memory leak though that is most likely just a result of caches slowly filling up until full
-
Release notes (4.0):
- Greatly improved interface related interactions performance
- Reduced CPU usage in certain situations (especially for MAC users or those with slower computers)
- No more LAG/FPS drops in certain situations (especially for MAC users or those with slower computers)
- Reduced RAM usage in certain situations
- Mirror settings moved to main settings interface and now can be saved and persist between restarts.
- Scripters can now take advantage of the ability to adjust the reaction/fps on the fly. (It will take them some time to implement it into their scripts though)
Make sure to download the latest stable build to take full advantage of new features and the ability to set the settings. (SHIFT+F4 will not work anymore)
(Note: the actual release will happen in few hours, make sure the version shows v4.0 when trying it out)

- Mirror client version: (x32 to x32) v3.07.180
- Console output / terminal output
- Crash report if a crash occurred
- Script that you ran
- Hooks that failed
- JVM/Browser bit version (32 / 64): 32 bit official client, 32 bit OSBot client, oracle JRE build 1.8.0_201-b09
Works properly on stealth injection where it prints the expected output 0 and false, but on mirror mode it doesn't make any difference between placeholders and the actual items.
Does it report non placeholder items correctly?

Are you guys all using mac?
Edit: I've pushed the fix which should be live within minutes
