I think the Drake Equation is a little exaggerated but it says that there are around 2000 communicable civilizations.. But that theory alone suggests there's plenty of life within our galaxy alone. The real problem is traveling all those light years. If they were of equal or greater intelligence than humankind they would most likely contact and negotiate with us before anything like that would occur.. Unless, for whatever reason, their own resources were dire.

I've taken part of several unprofessional debates over climate change on a different forum jam-packed with 40+ year old american conservatives... Even thinking back to those experiences makes me shudder... There's is mass ignorance around the subject especially here in the grand ol' USA... I've come to the conclusion that three aspects are what determine's one's dismissal/resistance of evidence: -rigid political viewpoints (media consumption falls under this) -culturual and material attachment -fear (one that isn't often admitted) Most recently in big news around our atmosphere, we hit a 400 ppm co2 milestone. Big names, intellectuals, on the opposing side (let's take Richard Lindzen for example) either spout flat lies or make oversimplified and in fact unscientific rebuttals. There's is a video of Lindzen discounting data as "not a big deal" purely based on it's appearance rather than implications as part of his lecture, shows which crowd he caters to.

Well, just talking out of my experience, there's one of two possibilities. There are two main scripts I've been running with OSBot so far. one, if I leave alone, I find myself stuck in a random area, or have failed a random event... With the other, I've never encountered the problem... So either the scripts do have influene on the random event's outcome, or I've just experienced more luck with the latter script.

Well, if you're saying you'll bot up to a high level and then legitimately play while doing this, then.. -Herblore: If you know what you're doing you can make good profit buying supplies and selling pots. -Woodcutting: Get some magics or yews in an uncrowded area, there's plenty of them not occupied by bots reeling in many more logs for yourself. -Mining: At 85 plus, hop around and get some rune ore. And if you are going to still bot while going for some good money: -Fishing: Sharks. Or, if you find a good bot for WC / Mining then do that... Forget about botting good herblore pots unless you already are rich, which I assume your not.. Oh and one more obvious one... Runecrafting natures...

Good topic. I break when I'm not baby sitting the bot, AKA out for over two hours or sleeping. I set the break for 30 mins with a 10 minute deviation (if I understand deviations correctly, this means it alters the 30 mins so the break will randomly generate anywhere between 20-40 mins?)

I don't think any ban rate can be too high of anything. If jagex really wanted to they could quarantine most bots out within a week. Jagex cares about profits, and knows that bots are bringing them in money, so why would they ever eliminate a good source of their income?
