  10. Try to give it a chance. I commute an hour to college and I am usually there from 8am-5pm. I have to leave my house at 6:30am most mornings and don't get home till 6:30-7pm Things will get better. This is my 3rd year and I can tell you it's not horrible. Try to talk to some more people, don't go running home after class and try to find a school club/activity that interests you. When I was a Freshman I had a VERY light load and made the mistake of always running back home when class was over. I don't know what your major is but you need to social network. Start making connections with people that will benefit you in the future.
