Skype Problem? Does anybody know how to fix

Hello, So basically a few days ago I started having an issue with skype. Started to become very laggy and then started crashing last night.

 

I tried deleting history to free it up but that didnt fix it.

 

I keep getting this error

Now I've googled it and many threads say its something to do with internet explorer or service packs and shit so I'm going to update them now and see if it works but if not, does anybody else have any idea?

Anything higher than the current IE version. IE11 is fine

I fixed it by updating my windows.

 

I had 180 updates + I read you needed Internet Explorer 9 or above to fix it.
