Computer Component Upgrades

Featured Replies

These are my parts:

AMD Athlon X4 750K Processor:

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard:

XFX Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Graphics Card:

2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM:

500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive:

NZXT Source 210 Case:

430W Corsair CX430 Power Supply:

I did this budget build back in hs when I was really on a budget. Now that I have some money I would like to upgrade. Any tech wizards out there that could point me in the right direction?

I'm aiming for a more powerful computer in the aspects of video rendering.

You will definitely want to go with an i7 build if you are aiming towards video rendering etc.

I would also suggest a 4gb gpu, preferably nvidia 980.

(will require new mobo that accepts intel i7)

Haven't built pc's and been knowledgable on parts since the last gen of pc parts (like start of last year)

But yeah, basically if you want video rendering power then do not go AMD.

it seems like the one of the best CPUs for your socket is the A10-6800K.

Upgrading CPU would have the most effect on how many bots you can run (since this is a botting forum wink.png, and would also help for any CPU intensive programs like video rendering/editing like you mentioned.

Getting a solid state hard drive (SSD) will also work wonders. Vastly improves startup, shutdown, and program load speeds. I'd defiantly include this in your upgrade.

I'd say overall 8GB of RAM is plenty, but depends on how much you plan to multitask, wouldn't hurt to bump up to 16BG if you really wanted.

You could also take the route of upgrading mobo + CPU.

I was trying to avoid doing that, but after doing some more research it seems that Intel is the best for video rendering. Thanks though!

Don't get an AMD please, numerous reasons why.
