Try this interaction

So im suggesting one of the devs to debug interaction with a "Safe cracker" in rouge den.

what i know:

  • both the entity and myPlayer are on the same tile.
  • the entity is a wall object

what it does: (mouse trail and mouse position debug)

  • depending on your camera angle it could be good or bad.
  • normally the mouse will move to the middle of the tile. it will not hit the entity until  a few tries.
  • It will magically get a random jump and some how hit the entities model and interact fine with it.

On my safe cracker script on the gui i gave people a boolean option to enable camera involvement within our entity interaction.

Not a client bug. It's a bug in your script.

-.- And why do you say that?

Because you're trying to interact with several objects (not just the wall object). When you attempt to interact with the wall object, it works fine.

I'm trying to interact with several objects? There are 4 safes all I'm doing is interacting with the one the users selected.

And every object on that tile.

So are you telling me to not use a position filter for the script? How should I go about fixing this?

I haven't read anything that was helpfull to me

You're using a position filter alone. So, it identifies every object on the tile (as it should). You could filter those results to get the object you want.

Otherwise, you can find all of the wall safes, then filter them by position.

I will try that then, sorry about that
