Iv just had a brief read through and seen some figures, and Jagex must be fucking them self in the ass.

3 Months or so since "we’ve completed the integration of the full system"

"During its testing phase, it managed to successfully ban 21,000 accounts" - That results in £103,950 ($158,211) Lost revenue in 2 weeks.

"the system has successfully removed over 200,000 gold farmers and bots from the game." - So that 200k figure represents £990,000 ($1,506,582) .. In reality there saying that in 3 months they have shafted them self out of £1.1 Million ($1,673,980) .. ? Are they for fucking real?

Forgive me if i wrong here, but i think Jagex would benefit more from turning a blind eye to bots, we as botters supply alot of revenue to their company. Without us they would be nothing! .. NOTHING I TELL YOU!!

Until the rs3 is done they dont have anything also to do than pick on botters on OSRs..

They can't just turn a blind eye on bots, if they did that what would be the point in anyone ever playing legitimate runescape? The game would not last very long at all and there would be no point playing.

Also, whats $1 million to jagex? ha

Well Goldfarmers will just make new accounts to replace the banned ones. so really jagex makes more by banning them.

Yeah i guess your both right and i never thought of it like that Tohma.

But reaper, iv only ever botted on 1 account, i see people running 10+ accounts and making a living from selling the GP. These are the people who Jagex should focus on. What harm am i doing by botting a bit range now and then?

I have to agree with op in some way, without bots things would be soooooooo expensive, 99 pray would cost 300m. :O

So basically, you're asking for Jagex to let botters be botters?

1. They can't pick out people who bot one account for a couple hours to gain skills or what not, and if they did it would take hours of looking into.

2. They millions just from banning bots.  For example, Botter buys membership ($8). Botter gets banned after a week. Botter buys another membership ($8) So instead of Jagex waiting a month until getting another $8 from an account, they could simple ban bots and get it within a week or so.

3. If they let bots run wild, the eco would be like EOC. Everybody would have bills.

To be honest, I think jagex hasn't made anywere near the amount of money people have made from playing runescape.

With all the private servers, youtubers and gold farming/account selling.

I like this, very true in what your saying.

If Jagex want to effectively ban bots there has to be a simple way, i mean come on, they have millions of £/$ at their disposal, your telling me they couldn't invest a little if they truly wanted bots out of the game?

I agree :p. "Cluster Flutter" broke the bots for a long time but they haven't updated to that magnitude since, which if they did it would be no bots...

They do this to please the legit players, no other reason....

They profit more like this people get banned they make new accounts. You buy members for a month, get banned within lets say a week buy it again on a new acc thats 2 members in a week instead of 2 in 2 months.

They banned that many bots, but how many of those goldfarmers simply created a new account and paid for membership again?

They make more profit in monitoring banning since the majority of botters create multiple accounts even after being banned several times.
