Running only one bot but error keep saying I am running multiple bots

I don't have VIP, and I'm not trying to run more than one bot, but sometimes this error would pop out randomly. Could be 2 minutes after start, could be 3 hours. Even had one time the error popped up without me logging in to runescape.

 

 

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

I've been having this issue since I started botting, would love someone's input into the matter. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Java and the bot client and it still occurs.

 

In the meantime, the workaround I'm using is running the bot within a virtual machine on my PC. If that's an option for you, that seems to work.

Check the processes that are running on your computer when you get the error , check if JAVA is already running.

If so just right click and kill it.

I always check my task manager when I get similar errors

I have the same issue. It seems that OSBot's internal multiple bot checker is mistaking other instances of Java as if you're running multiple bots. This happens to me when I have the OSRS client open, if I'm browsing a website that uses Java, or even if I'm using a Java IDE such as Eclipse.

When I leave OSBot running and leave my computer alone with no open programs it works fine for hours.

I think in my case it's java update scheduler that's messing it up. I killed the process in task manager and it runs fine for a long time.

When you click the osbot program to initially load it up, if you click it more once(or double click more than once) it can cause this error to pop up. I know this has happened to me before but usually only if I click it a few times because it is taking forever to pop up. However idk if this is the same case with you guys, because usually it will happen only like 10 min max after i tried loading it. When it pops up any of the time, do you try typing something and then it pops up? Because this could be from the screen being open, but the focus may still be on your desktop. So if you were to hit enter and Osbot was highlighted in background, maybe it tries running it again.

Yeah I ended up doing the same thing. I'm relatively sure that this was the problem.

man it's a nice idea and all to prevent running multiple bots, but it's so poorly implimented. To the point where ANY java program running on your computer causes the bot to freak out and shut down. There has gotta be better ways to do this.
