I am having the exact same problem, I have done everything in this thread and my computer still doesn't want to realize Java has been installed and wont open the download.

Have you made sure to download Java 8

I have, I was able to download it on my laptop but i still cant get the download to open with Java on my PC sadly. Ill live though lol
