I've never played the game and I will never play it, think that's the best thing you can do

You should really look up the basics on youtube because I think the LoL tutorial is pretty bad.

Play against bots until you get the hang of the game and then play with people.

Do not buy runes or even worry about them until your account is lv20.

Learn how to kill minions (aim for ~70+ at 10 minutes)

One thing that really helped me was looking up what professionals build on certain champions until I learned how the game worked.

Learn about wards, buy them and use them.

Make your settings comfortable for you - such as pings and quick casting
