Varc
Yeah i saw this from returnofwilderness, it's weird how this is legit a company who are probably responsible for a ridiculous amount of gold farming on multiple online games!

Yes.. I've always wondered how can a "legit" company sell other companies property. eg. RuneScape Gold.

Vag
breaking a games rule =/= breaking the law? Not directly, but think it this way; I rent you a apartment and you sell it. You break law. You do not own anything inside runescape, you just have the right to play on your account and everything you bought/gained further on is a extendition to your experience in RuneScape. Therefore selling something in-game for real money is illegal.

It is legal to sell runescape accounts, gold etc. If you sell accounts you may add that you sell the time played on the account and not the account itself as it belongs to jagex and not yourself. (Only if you sell it over local stores/sites like ebay) (As of the law in europe, idk about other places) And to be honest I find it brassy to claim it is illegal without even knowing the law situation. My source for europe ( Asked a tax expert and a lawyer )

My source for europe ( Asked a tax expert and a lawyer ) The part "Sell the time you have played on the account" is the loop hole here. My point was that you are not allowed to sell something you do not own. And since by European laws and common sense time is something you can charge people for. heptic
Normally they will charge for services not account or gold, e.g. You're paying for a service but they "donate" gold to you. Check on ebay, people sell guides but it comes with coins.
