Markoz Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I am considering botting on a VPS and since I bought it I figured I would do it correctly and buy VIP aswell, but so far I couldn't manage to find a legit working client for my linux machine . I tried the linux client but it doesn't open, tried opening runescape on firefox but it says no Java installed, tried downloading Opera but it gives errors on the install... I think I might stay using standart mode, but I really want to try the delicious mirror!
Jamez Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Hello , im quite sure the mirror client doesnt support linux , maybe a mod can correct me if im wrong.

Vag Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 If you can run a application on Windows, you can do it on Linux also. It just takes a ton load of configuration for the C++ libs running on UNIX kernel. It is possible, but I would not bother to it.
Markoz Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Oh crap. I figured it could since OSBot uses java Does the Mirror Mode use a different language?
Flamezzz Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Oh crap. I figured it could since OSBot uses java Does the Mirror Mode use a different language? Yes, it needs a low level language (C, C++ etc) to inject itself in the process where the JVM runs the RS client (or something similar). I don't think stuff like connecting to another JVM is supported in pure java.
Erikdb1100 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 and when u use wine ? does that do the trick??
Vag Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 If you can get C++ libraries to work on Vine, yes it is possible. But not going to be easy.
