I don't have to keep my laptop/pc running when botting on a vps right? Or how does this work?

Anyone know how i can download my local scripts to Debian? whenever i use wget - on the website i upload to, it just downloads the entire webpage as a html file. And why is there no like web browser i can use to download my shit with? Tried wget - all diffrent chrome options, google-chrome-stable etc, but it won't work :/ So anyone know how to get local scripts working on this debian?
