Failed to connect to remote server, I can't load the bot

Featured Replies

Okay so I played on 1.7.11 last week with no problems, I haven't played for a few days and I just got home from vacation. When I got home I downloaded 1.7.18 and when I try to start the client it comes up saying "connecting to remote server...

Failed to connect to remote server

java.net.socketTimedOut... blah blah blah"

I thought maybe the bot was just down but other people are using it with no problems. I uninstalled all the files relative to OSBot, uninstalled Java, reinstalled Java jdk1.0.7_25 and restarted my computer. I'm still having the same problem. Someone please help.

do you have most recent JDK? Java SE Downloads - Oracle

C:/Program Files/Java/JDK1.7.0_25

C:/Program Files/Java/jre7

Those are my Java files and I'm positive they are the most up to date.

After I installed Java and then downloaded OS bot it made me select which program to use to open OSBot and I'm not sure I selected it correctly. I selected C:/Program Files/Java/JDK1.7.0_25/bin/Javaw           I'm not sure if that's correct or not. I also tried the same path with "Java" instead of "Javaw"

I'm running windows 8 if that makes any difference at all.

C:/Program Files/Java/JDK1.7.0_25

C:/Program Files/Java/jre7

i believe that is current java but just in case do this:

Delete osbot and and the folders local scripts etc.

then uninstall your javas then

get the newest JDK and JRE here: Java SE Downloads

then redownload osbot

then restart your computer and let me know if this works,

i can also help on teamviewer...

I did exactly what you said and I'm still having the same problem. I deleted all versions of OSBot as well as the folder with the scripts and what not, Deleted all versions of Java, restarted my computer, downloaded the newest versions of java, restarted my computer again, downloaded OSBot and I'm still not able to run the bot..

I got teamviewer if you think that can help.
