PS: Obviously I am new to this, but then again I'm not stupid, however if anyone can provide me with any advice on how to avoid being scammed that would really be appreciated.

Also I assume I'm not trusted, so if neither are trusted I would be willing to use a middleman - if this is the case, I'll have to do some reading into how exactly this works and fees.
