Oliver
How much does a dash " - " in a domain affect the SEO ? e.g www.your-domain.com // www.yourdomain.com and also the superdomain .net/.com Please only comment if you really know about it. I don't want anyone to comment his opinion if he does not actually knows what he is talking about. Thank you!
Raviener
Im almost sure it will only affect the SEO if searched on the exact text. So if someone searches for; yourdomain --> www.yourdomain.com will score better. If someone searches for "bla bla your domain" --> it won't matter. Not sure though, but I have one site with a "-" and one without. So this is just what I think.

Zelnorm
Hey Oliver, I have been in and out of the SEO business for the past 6 or years. Having a hyphen (-) in your domain will not hinder your seo. I believe having underscore (_) will. It also good to note that google prefers sites structered with sub-folders as oppose to subdomains. subfolders e.g: osbot.org/forum subdomain e.g: forum.osbot.org Any other questions, fire away. My site are both not that old, around 1 - 2 years right now. So you could be right about that. @Oliver But why take the risk? Personally I would just buy it without "-". Zelnorm
Thank you! How do you think about .com/.net ? Does it make a difference regarding SEO ? If you are aiming for a national market then pick the one that pertains to your country (i.e. UK = .co.uk, France = .fr). If you are aiming at an international market then there isn't really much in it. These factors of your domain name doin't have much weight when it comes to SEO. Malle
Thank you! How do you think about .com/.net ? Does it make a difference regarding SEO ? The domain being a .com/.net/.org and so on doesn't have a heavy weight on your SEO whatsoever, the 2015 SEO is based on actual unique content of your website and off-site SEO as backlinks coming from relevant sources within your actual niche.
