Bot only opens offline:

Featured Replies

When I open osbot (currently running v 1.1.6 but it's been doing this same thing since launch) the bot says it's "offline" and wont let me click the tab to log into my osbot account in the right hand corner, also it doesn't run a runescape client. It is most likely the fact that Java has committed suicide somehow on my computer and refuses to run even when I delete all instances of it and download the latest version, or when I download previous Java versions(the only way I can run Runescape is by playing on the downloadable client that doesn't require Java.) I would love help on this awful confusing situation :[

This is my post...didn't realize I was logged out of osbot when I did that :p. Still an issue nonetheless though so please help.

Hi LovelyMoney,

Could you put your anti virus software off for a moment, and then try running the bot again?

There was someone with the same problem, it was fixed when he putted his anti virus software off.

If the bot does run now after you've putted your anti virus off, then you should look at the settings of it, it is possible that the security is to tight.

I've had my antivirus off for some time and it hasn't been running. What should I do to make sure the security is not too tight?

If setting your anti virus software off is not helping, then that is not the problem.

Can you play the browser version of Runescape? If not, then I think your problem has something to do with Java.

Could you give me some more, detailed information?

-No the browser version of runescape doesn't work for me :[. Someone suggested I download Eclipse and try to run the bot program on that, but I am not sure at all how to make the bot run on Eclipse.

-what kind of other information might be useful?

-And also, I have more or less resigned myself to accept that Java wont be functioning on my computer for some time (I will try what you recommend if you give me advice on how to repair my Java) since it worked fine before I updated it to 7_17, but I can't seem to revert back to my old version and fix the issue.

Thank you for this information. I'm 100% sure now that the Java is the problem.

Could you do a Java check at http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp?

While testing, there will probably be a pop-up asking you if you want to run the java content of the website, accept this.

When the testing is done, could you give me the information that you've received from the test, via text or print screen?

What about your firewall? Maybe that's blocking it.

This problem started for me 20 minutes ago. :/
