Camera Pro's [needed]

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking to get into photography and looking to purchase my first "semi-professional" camera/DSLR.

I'm wanting one with smart technology integrated for easy access to social media etc.

I know this isn't a DSLR but i'm thinking of getting this camera:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/smart-camera-camcorder/smart-nx/smart-nx/EV-NX300ZBAVGB

Could anyone tell me if this would be okay for my first camera/too experiment around with?

I like the fact it's not too bulky like a DSLR smile.png

Or could anyone recommend me any others?

Thanks in advance

Get a Canon or a Nikon.

The Canon T3i is a great entry-level machine.

Don't do Canon T3I in the UK :c

It is.

The Canon 400D with a good lens kit wouldn't be bad either ^^

But does the 600D have "smart" abilities?

You shouldn't rely on a machine to be smart but learn to use it smartly instead.

I'm talking about whether or not it has Wi-Fi integrated, hardly depending on the machine.

They don't have wifi support.

If you're concerned about file storage -> get a couple of SD cards, they are cheap.

If you want to access facebook/instagram remotely to upload your pictures -> buy a cheap phone that supports SD cards so you can swap your photos between camera and phone easily and upload photos via phone (wifi or 3g).

Wifi on cameras is a pain in the ass battery-wise, navigation-wise and connectivity-wise.

Not worth it tbh.
