Just make sure your VPS runs on Windows, linux or mac and then you're fine

yes but buy a good quality one, i bought a shit one and it laggs like fuck

you also have to install java on the vps as it mostly comes without.

Yes, botting on a VPS is possible, and a great way to mass farm.  VPS can be annoying to set up doh :P

Just depends on the type; different types of VPS' come with different perks. Linux VPS' are usually cheaper, but more difficult to set up and run things on. Windows VPS' are more expensive, but much more simple to use and set up.

yup that is true, if you want the best vps for your money, your going to have to set it up yourself :P  I personally use linux.
